and what plugs n wire brands would u recomend for the truck never replaced them in the ranger since i have owned it

thanks guys and girls for reading

Fuel filter, check/replace PCV, change oil, maybe clean MAF and IAC.

I'm sure you will have plenty of people post up their suggestions / recommendations.

you should definately use motorcraft plugs, i have autolites in now and they work good but from what i hear motorcrafts work even better

As long as it is running good I'd forget about messing with it.. But if you simply can't resist.. Then by all means get the stock plugs. Even if you have to go to a dealer to get them. NO OTHER plug is zackly the same.. Why guess at what your engine will do with a different plug in there?
As for wires I always buy the store wire with a lifetime warranty.

Definitely go with the Motorcraft plugs, and make sure you gap them properly.

Had the 357 in the F-100 tuned by RPR (Richard Pole Racing) last saturday. He 's a retired Sprint Car Driver that moved here from outside of Chi-Town.
Runs great but I need to replace the Duraspark with something with more adjusment on the advance.

ya big jim a u have a great point i just feel like my fue millage went down and ect so i thought hey just get a tune up goin and im pretty sur emost people who own 3rd gen i think the style is nows that anoyying sqeak from under the hood when its wet outside im pretty sure its the idle pully cuz when im givin it gas it stops

Unless it is missing and jumping around, new plugs won't do one damn thing for your milage.. Plugs and wires either work as designed OR they don't! If they do work fine then new ones will only work the same..
