Crazy thought here folks has anyone seen a twin traction beam swapped in the rear end of a ranger based vehicle? I'm thinking off road only Dana 35 box in the beams to keep it clean and build some sort of locking bar in place of the tie rods going to a Heim joint perhaps. Probably havea jacked up drive shafts angle

Just crazy thoughts out loud.

There's been a few done. Gwaii has a pic in one of his threads of a truck he did like that. And google will show a bunch too.

While it has been done I think there are probably better ways to get IRS in a Ranger. The T-bird setup is one that comes up a lot as a potential donor.

Frankly the first IRS that comes to mind is the one used in the 201-up Explorers...

It already uses the correct 5-on-4.5 bolt pattern...

They might be the best thing out there but I haven't been too impressed with their design.

Press in wheel bearings, and flaky springs...

Mom had an '02, in 160k that thing ate 3 of those stupidly designed press in wheel bearings and broke two springs. Never ever saw a trailer.
