TTB Lift Brackets....

Well i have my rims coming in soon, and got most of my parts all thats left if to pic up all of the hardware for the brackets, and figure a couple things out,


Now for starters, my 95 splash has front and rear swaybars.... do i need to do anything with theses, drop them, toss them, or leave them alone?


Next i was looking at the kit i scooped up used, and noticed my brackets seemed different, this is the 2 drop brackets i have:

as well as coils and etc, i pieced this kit together, any how the TTB drop brackets are the ones i have from this pic

But most of them i see, are this style?

Now as far as the drop plate goes, i have always read to clearance it and fab some bumpstop extensions to avoid the diff killer setup ive read about, not my current biggest concern, i am currently making sure the other drop bracket will work, i just cant picture how to mount it, altho i havnt really looked at the truck too much,


For the rear im going with Explo leafs, Belltech 6400's and if nesc. i will swap the stock block for a 3'' one.

drop bracket:

the other drop bracket fits inside the stock bracket, and pokes down a couple inches. i am about to separate this combo myself (selling my RC brackets), so i can snap a pic tonight for ya before i start :icon_thumby:

bumpstops:

after installing the lift brackets, but before putting the coils in, cycle the beam (with the diff on it) up until it touches the drop plate. extend your bumpstop until the beam can only get about an inch away from the plate, probably not any closer.

sway bars:

in the front, you can drop the frame side mounts with some square tube, or make the links longer. or just chunk 'em. depends on your driving style.
 
I tossed my sway bars and dont regret it a bit

Thanks, i had the chance at lunch to look at it and noticed it fits in the stocker, thanks tho,


I also have a rear sway bar, wat are the pro cons of keep and chucking the sway bars?
 
Offroad: better "flex", but wont help much with stock radius arms.

Onroad: more body roll, i would keep them as you wont get much more "flex" without the longer radius arms.
 
Thanks for the info, how much do the swaybars need to be dropped, rear is being raised 4-5'' and front will be raised about 5.5-6''
 
if this is going to be a DD, keep sway bars, if its going to be offroad only{like mine} toss the sway bars, you wont regret
 
it will mostly be a dd with a few slight off road adventures here and there, threw a mud bog or 2 maybe at most, not much crawling around here..... how much would thw sway bars need to be dropped whne lifting 4'' in rear and about 5 or 6 up front?
 
Ditch the front swaybar. I have been running without it for 2 years with a Detroit in the rear.
 
so i mine as well ditch the rear sway bar as well then?
