I have a 2000 Ranger XLT. I am thinking about taking the jumpseats out of the truck because I don't want to ever have any one ride back there because of the small size back there. I want to custom build two boxes to some what fit in where the jump seats fold up into the side of the truck. Has any one ever tried this? Then I would hook the amp up either underneath one of the seats. If any one has done any thing like that any help would be really helpful!

that's my set up, you could run two of THESE, and power them with one of THESE.

that sub is WAY cheaper on amazon right now

it's the one i am buying tonight

hey flyingbrick where did you mount the amp at? Under one of the seats?

WOW!! I REALLLLLY like that!! I aughtta get off my butt and get to cutting..i've been meaning to do something similar to that. Got any close ups on that old seat plastic on the passenger side?? Is that just a filler to make everything flow well or to cover up the uglyness of that corner? thanks!

Totally diggin' it man...looks great!

I just re looked at the pics of yours flyingbrick and your jumpseats are a different set up than mine. My jump seats actually fold up and fold into the side of the interior in your pics the square in the interior in your ranger is where my jumpseats fold up into. Has any one tried placing any subs in a truck with that set up???

I would've done that mirror image...

replace the DRIVERS side jumpseat with the Sub box

The amp for the sub is under the passenger seat, I’ll get some pictures today for you.

Yeah it's to help hide the terminal cup/cab coroner, I’ll get pictures of it today for ya, and thanks for the complements.

Check that thread, and search around on the audio section there are a lot of guys who have done what you want.

Allan, I would have, but my sub amp is much bigger then my speaker amp, and i drive with my seat farther forward then the passenger seat needs to be. There is more room behind me then the other seat, I almost never have someone in the back, and this helps protect the bigger amp and sub.

OHHHHHH....you've got a 2dr then.... That's one TINY spot for a sub....probably not enough cubic footage/inchage to be suffiecient for a sub....

As asked for.

I am also working on putting to 10" subs in one under each seat and my amp inbeded into the back wall. With the shape of the box and the placement 2 people could still fit in back if they wanted, the seats can lean all the way back and the hope is that it will all look clean and stock after felting. once i really start to get this under way i hope to put up lots of pics. =-)

Unless your doing custom mounting brackets for the seat, or replacing the seats completely you wont fit more then a 6.5” or a bass-shaker, under the seats, my amps are a tight squeeze.
