I'm trying to get down to one hobby.

Sorry I've been out of the loop. And this is exactly why. Well that and all the problems with the B2 trans.

I was talking about the shafts themselves, the flanges on the fw 8.8 was too big, as in your case, but he did some digging and found smaller flanges shafts for the fw 8.8, what disk brake setup are/were you going with?

Glad to see you also went with the 8.8. And if you find shafts with the small hub like I did, you can use everything from an Explorer and all you have to do is redrill the rotors. Mine came out of a 70's F100 if I remember right.

It took me a while to see I was only going to keep the front axle and the frame and scrap the rest of a good truck.

New plan is to leave the Ranger the way it is and build something else. So sticking with what I know it will be radius arms and leaf springs 44 and 8.8. Thinking about 2x3x3/16 frame rails and 1.75 hopefully about 3000# when done so I can use air shocks on the front.

Picked up some parts for the build.
14" ballistic fab air shocks.

They only support 800# each. You better get 2.5's for the X.

Got some more parts for the buggy build that will start in a few weeks.
79/78 steering box that mounts on the outside of the frame.

And matching pump.

Ballistic fab battery box and some brackets and tabs.

Liquid Iron leaf spring slider boxes. Also got another set of Dodge 1500 2wd 60" leaf springs.

picked up the steel for the buggy build and another 78/79 dana 44 while I was there.

I guess last time out I broke all 4 caps on the passenger side shaft.

So I did the full circle clip mod using 1 3/16" clips.

That's the one. They mount flat on the outside of the frame like a ifs toyota box.

Well then I probably shouldn't tell you I only paid $15.00 for it..$25 for it with the pump and hoses.
