trucklette

I've seen the word trucklette used today. I had a idea of what it meant but did a search anyway. What I found mad me very upset. I do NOT consider my truck a trucklette even though the following site and others I found used it as an example.

Um, El Caminos are BA.


As for the Ranger being a trucklette. That I agree with, the definition is where I take issue. The suffix "lette" just means small. Isn't that one of the things that draws us to these trucks?

'TTT' is the name my buddies have for compact trucks. All my buddies with big trucks (F series, Dodge Rams.....etc. etc, consider Rangers and Tacomas and Frontiers, 'Toys'. Every Time they see a compact truck that say 'Look at that toy tonka truck'. Ergo.....'TTT'. I hate that expression......

Doesn't bother me a bit, when most people can go and do what I do in my Ranger they can call it whatever

Of course I get the from bikers when Im cruising down the highway.....I catch more crap about my Explorer being a "Grocery Getter" or Soccer Mobile" than anything, of course I always run tail gunner on our trail runs, because no one has to worry about me getting through.
