i just put a new clutch and slave cylinder in my 1994 v6 4 liter and i bleed the system as good as i think i possibly could, and the cutch pedal still doesnt feel like its building up enough pressure, i have searched the hydraulic system for leaks and not found any. When i turn the car on it shifts into gear very roughly, and will not shift into reverse. the wheels begin to spin while the clutch is still in and the only way to stop it is to kill the engine. it also feels like the clutch has quite a bit of travel before it builds up pressure. does anyone know any tricks for bleeding the hydraulic lines, becuase it is possible that there may still be some air trapped somewhere, or maybe the slave cylinder isnt moving enough to disengage the clutch, if anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Put the driverside front corner of the truck on a jackstand, remove the wheel and then the plastic inner fender. This will allow you access to the master cylinder with lots of working room.

From the inside of the cab, disconnect the rod that connects to the clutch pedal.

Leave both lines connected on the master. Turn the master 45 degrees and pull it out of the fire wall. turn it upside down and rebleed the system, while compressing the cylinder by hand. It wont be easy but it is doable. The position of the master makes it impossibe to bleed while in the truck.

thanks for the advice, that was the next plan i had, but finally after nearly 2 bottles of dot 3 and several hours of bleeding it finally built up enough pressure to shift gears. it drives now, but it feels like a whole new truck, the new clutch feels great but it is still hard to shift, so i might see if it still may have a little bit of air left over and attempt to bleed it some more.
