Ok my truck will turn over but it wont start its done this once before a while back and hasnt done it sense. Friday it did it again and now it wont start last time it did i took off the batter cable and the next day it started but this time it didnt work. Both times it does not have spark everything else is there just no spark.:icon_confused:

any codes? could be a bad ground, a looses connection, bad crank position sensor, bad coil, bad computer.... and on and on. lol. start by checking the free stuff. :) good luck.

Yesterday I went outside and tried to statr it and it srted. i tapped on a little silver cylinder attached to the coil pack and it started.

looks like its time to replace to coil pack! probly only $50 maybe little more! while your at it get your self some spark plugs & wires

That little cylinder is just a noise capacitor to collect interfearance from the coil. The radio being fuzzy or having strange background noise that goes up in frequency whith the RPMs of the engine is a tell-tale sign that the noise cap is not doing its job! :icon_thumby:

Check the local junk yard too, a lot of the times they will let things like that go fairly cheap. Of course, you run the risk of that one being just as bad. Its a gamble, but one I have had good luck with.

I never knew that. Now I know why the radio always tweaks when my engine revs in my 07 silverado work truck. POS chevy.:annoyed:
