I have a 2011 Ranger 4.0L from canada

My truck is throwing 2 codes, P0446 and P0453, both related to evap.
- Ive checked vapor canister -> not clogged
- Ive check vapor canister solenoid -> open and closes, fully
- Ive checked tube from gas tank to vapor canister -> also, not clogged

Here's what the code descriptions are:
P0446 - Evaporative System Vent Control Circuit Malfunction
P0453 - Evaporative Control System Pressure Sensor High Input

Ive erased the codes, but 2 remained, even if CEL was off, could this be why the codes always comeback? If not, HELP im flat out ion ideas

Those are circuit codes. They aren't going away because they haven't been fixed. I would check the wiring back there.

The first one is saying the computer sees a problem with the vent valve circuit, either it can see the open, or the valve isn't responding when commanded.

The other one, the FTP code, is saying the voltage coming back is higher than expected. That sensor gets a 5V reference from the computer, and the voltage coming back drops in relation to the pressure on the sensor. If you would check the PID it is probably at 4.99 or 5.0V. That would indicate an open circuit.

Im guessing that FTP is the fuel tank pressure sensor...what is the PID? and how do i check these, before taking to truck to the shop

You need a scanner that can look at live data. Wiring is a snack for some rodents. The other way is to disconnect the wires at the closest connector to the fuel pump and the pcm and do a reistance check. Good luck.
