My truck stalled out on me twice tonight.

First time was when i was in the middle of a 3 point turn, and I was shifting from reverse to drive. no apparent reason, the truck wasnt stuttering or anything.

Second I just pulled into my driveway and I was shifting into park when the truck died again. same "symptoms" as above.

Wtf? also, on a side note, its tough shiftting into any gear. i slide the gear selector into place, and i have to wait for the *jerk* of the engine to tell me its actually in gear. any suggestions for rectifying this issue?

Have you checked and/or changed the fluid and filter. I'm not up on auto trannys, but that would be a place to start. I don't know what tranny you have, but the tech section has some info on the C5. Some of the basic stuff(color and smell of fluid, etc) about it should pertain to yours also.
