Truck running cold....2.3L

There was no heater control valve on the heater hoses.....If I slide the slider to the left (cold) then it blasts out cold air (ambient air I am guessing) Slide it back to the right (hot) then it blows out the warm air.

when you slide it all the way to the right (hot with hte engine running can you hear what sounds like a door closing

get the brand and number of the tstat you installed, please

Still curious if he back flushed the heater core too. If he goes from cold to warm air, I would think the blend door is working.

I would back flush and check both heater hoses for same temp. Good way to indicate blockage or vapor lock in heater core.

The heater core was backflushed....

The problem might have corrected itself...Yesterday, it was about 35 out, And the truck was nice and toasty on the inside...I am wondering if it might have been the blend door, and corrected itself by me slamming the slider from one side to the other...
