I really like the graphic packages that were available on some trucks in the 1970s. Feel free to post any cool stripe packages on any trucks from the 70's or early 80's.

My grandad had a 73 F-series (I think 350) that had the camper special - it had graphics on the side a lot like your 3rd one over an ugly green color. I doubt there is a picture of it anywhere still around but back in the day he loved that thing - only thing that could tow the goose neck fully loaded.

There is a old 70s Bronco around here with those graphics. Of course it's not in that good of shape. I laugh cause he has a cover on his tire carrier that's says "Jeep Recovery Crew. " I see him a bout once a week.

wish I had pictures, at my first job (1988) the bosses son had a 76 F150 explorer pkg. orange with lighter orange stripes. Had a 360 or 390 ? with a C6. Looked similar to this internet photo, his did have the fender flares (maybe part of pkg, I assumed he put them on) It had 15x10 white spokes with 31-11.50’s, a white fiberglass cap & a visor similar to that picture.

I'm really loving that GMC Desert Fox. It's interesting that all of those stripes are painted on, not vinyl. Seeing that picture reminded me that my uncle in Tenessee had a similar GMC, but if I recall correctly, it was silver. I had a photo of it somewhere. I wanted that truck really bad, but by the time I turned 16 and got my license he sold it.

They have started to bring them back

As trends tend to do, this one is making a comeback. I think what happened was, in the 90's we started stripping these stripes off of our older trucks, after they cracked or peeled, and went with a 'cleaner' look, the industry took note and stopped puting stripes on, then we got older and thought, " Those old stripes would look good on this truck."

The same thing has happened with "Chrome" - it used to be an extra cost to have everything chromed, after 20 years the chrome isnt as shiny as it used to be, so we painted it black. Now the industry is charging us more to "chrome delete" :icon_rofl:

I had never seen this stripe package on a Bronco II before, but I dig it.

my very 1st Ranger ( '83 sc carb'd) was that color with tan stripes and "Ranger" inset in the stripes, was the Ford Ranger font
Like this, but "Ranger", instead of "XLS"

1980 Jeep J10 'Honcho' puckup.

I’ve always loved the chromatic graphics on the freewheeling Fords. Someone around the corner from me when I was growing up had one. The graphics were reflective and looked so good at night.

it would be super cool to get a sticker package like that now days

Dat free wheeling package...
