Hey i am putting a truck chest in my bed and was wondering what ways you would suggest for me to secure it down?

bolting it through the bed is the best option as it won't go flying during an accident and it will not get stolen. if you need to be able to remove it from time to time, you can always use wing nuts inside the box to get it off more easily. just check them frequently to make sure they stay tight. just my $.02.

K I was thinking of just running a steel wire through the back of it and around the back of the bed that you want see. Will that work?

should work fine. my toolbox has little holes in it and actually uses c clamps to hold it to the bed sides.

I have one right next to the tailgate in my '94 Ranger. Its held against the gate with a big bungee strap and a big bottle jack laying inside.

The trucks a stepside, and the box fits perfectly, sticks up just enough to open, and matches the trim. Looks like a factory option.

i put a small box in my ranger. i ran a thick cable under the bed liner and drilled holes in each side to the liner then just lock the handles on each of the box to the lopped cable. i can take it off and put it back on in less than a minute.
