my bronco that JUSTgot working today just caught on fire:icon_surprised:

i had her hooked up to my dads f150 for a boost and when i turned the key POOF fire everywhere, after i got the fire out i went to turn the key ahead see if it was the injectors and found my key on the pass floor under a pile of wrenchs and rags i guess i was shocked so much. anyways sure enought the little pump on the fuel rail squirts out every bit of gas she gets

oh yea and i jumped in my dads f150 slapped it in reverse and burned the tires right off without even unhooking the battery cables lol

so i got the garden hose and dad came with the fire extinguisher and after a while put it out.

dont seem to be too much damage i guess ill take the fuel rail part from thedonor vehicle and see if it works and hopefully nothing wrong, a few wires are melted off but nothing serious

but it was way worse then that

Dude, thats awesome. V8 swap soon?

no thanks ryan haha

Fire sucks! Time for a super cleaning, now. That extinguisher powder is super corrosive and is hard to wash off. Good luck.

thanks im hopeing that no wires arent burnt beyond repair, ill put the new fuel rail on today and see what happens

EDIT BTW RYAN can u receive the pic i sent u in the text of the b2?

Man that sucks, But I'm really impressed.
You have come so for from when you first came to TRS. you went from no Idea about how to work on the truck to catching it on fire and rebuilding it in a few days. Keep up the good work.

If my vehicle was currently bursting into flames, the last thing I would do would be snap a cellphone picture.

Why were you boosting it with the F series? Bad alternator?

if the wires are fried in this one im gonna look for a 2nd gen ranger 4.0 4x4

new alternator, bad battery

Get a new battery. They don't cost THAT much.

IMO you should have in the first place, it's gonna cost so much more to have to replace everything destroyed.

first time ive heard of jump starting causing a fire on a b2...
