TRUCK CAuGHT ON FIRE

yea jump starting never had anything too do with it man

Get a new battery. They don't cost THAT much.

IMO you should have in the first place, it's gonna cost so much more to have to replace everything destroyed.

although i think everyone agrees even himself he needs a new battery.

I dont understand how you think that it had anything to do with the fire.
The fire was due to the fuel rail having a hole in it and shootin fuel, not because of jumpstarting.

Something had to ignite the fuel. Jumper cables spark all the time.

I would say that jumping a battery is probably one of the most dangerous things you can do under the hood...batteries can explode, but having fuel sprayed around while jumping a battery is way more likely to result in either a fire or an explosion...

I think you got off lucky with the fire...

no the has was nowheres near the battery/cables i think it may have went down around the plugs or somethin i duno

That's possible too, I've had minor fires under the hood and was not boosting a battery at the time...like when I shot that Quick Start down the carb...gosh, thought it was the 4th of July or something...lol

Just saying that you are increasing your chances when more than one factor is involved...as I'm sure you are well aware of now...hahaha

lol yup lesson learned

when you see gas flying out of your fuel rail at full tilt, dont say "shit'll buff out"
