INFO TRS Socials Banner

Maybe my question wasn’t clear. There are only two countries, from the very beginning of the United States, that were boots on the ground in our conflicts. So it wouldn’t be isolated to the more recent engagements and wars. Think back in history.
Well, if there were two and England was one, the other would have to be the United States.

Couldn't have been poland for the same reason it couldn't have been Canada. Historically it might have been an independent country, but for a period prior (possibly large period) to WW1 it was not. Independence was regained at the end of the war, then Germany invaded a couple decades later setting off WW2.

(I'm likely way off base there, I know little of polish history, but still good for :stirthepot:)

I'm in agreement. It couldn't have been Poland since it was behind the Iron Curtain as a satellite nation of the USSR during the cold war. As far as WWII, like the French, there were resistance forces fighting throughout the war, both in country and elsewhere.

I'm Still enjoying this read.

But what was the original subject of this threat?

Oh that's right, " social media banner ".

Surely it's not Poland..........

@Shran wins the kielbasa!

It was England and Poland, boots on the ground, in every conflict. But part two:

What was the difference between Poland and England in these conflicts?

Neither one of them follows TRS on both Instagram and YouTube?

I'm not doubting your history knowledge here... but what are we defining as "involvement" here, is that a formal or even informal declaration from the Polish government or simply people of Polish decent/immigrants involved in our conflicts? Or something in between?

I am certainly not a history student in those things but a bit of Googling and wikipedia reading leads me to believe that their involvement in say, the Mexican-American war... or the Civil War... and a few others... may have involved people of decent from there or 1st generation immigrants but that was about all.

So tell me more, inquiring minds would like to know 😎

Back then, it was beating on a hollow log we’re sending smoke signals, but no, that’s not the difference. I’ll wait another 24 hours and see if anybody knows.

Ok, the big reveal. Revolutionary war, Poland gave us Gen Casimir Pulaski who trained all our farmers and countrymen and turned them into soldiers. Col Tadeusz Pulaski was a master at designing and building fortifications, and he was later elevated to brigadier general also.

I won’t go long on the whole history, but during the times when Poland was under other occupation during the separation, and after World War II, there was always a government in exile, which is considered the true government of Poland. Through that government, and through the regular governments that were under control when there was no separation or occupation, troops were always sent to help the United States. Not support. boots on the ground. Sometimes it was a small contingent, but Polish soldiers fought side-by-side with the United States in every conflict. That included Vietnam, financial Korea, etc., etc.

The difference between England and Poland? Poland was on our side of the conflict every time….

Glad this post was made as it's been a little while since I've checked in and I want aware there was an IG and a You Tube channel. I followed both of them now and look forward to seeing what comes through.

Or…

I was hinting at we are WAY off subject here and to stop talking about the Polish military. You can start a new thread on history lessons.

This is a thread that the boss started and I know it’s important to him.

That’s why I wanted to provide all the background for a Polish banner.

OK, I’m done

Another thing about following The Ranger Station on YouTube... I have my YT account on my 75" TV and have watched TRS videos in 75" of glory... you haven't seen Jim or TRS3 until you have seen it on a 75" screen.
