INFO TRS Socials Banner

It was selected, and had been for a while. V8 badge was there then noticed it missing about the time that LBF said something. It's back now and I didn't change anything.

EDIT: I see it is back for @85_Ranger4x4 too but not @lil_Blue_Ford and both of them appear to have the correct engine selected in their profile.

My truck has been apart for awhile. I was starting to worry I tripped the meter for having my truck off the road too long so I I slipped it out of the garage and into town last night... and now my banner is back. :icon_thumby:

Seriously though, set it how you want it and give it time. It does take some time for it to react so if you keep switching it back and forth it will lag behind you and keep switching it back and forth too.

I looked at them. I keep thinking of getting one since my mom's side of the family has a bewery in scotland. Not sure whoch side ofnthatbisland is the kilt side though, ireland or scotland
Both Ireland and Scotland wear Kilts. Funny thing, both my dad’s side of the family and my mom’s side, the family that came from over there, got so big that they split between those two countries. I’ve looked it up, there are 3 Kilt patterns that I can wear as family colors

Lil Blues V8 banner has finally blossomed again!

Yeah, I see it’s back even though the truck is still on blocks.

It’s going to h-e-double-hockey-sticks in a hand basket… apparently I’m just along for the ride because I’d like to have my Ranger back on the road before the inspection runs out again…

I did a little tweaking....:icon_twisted:

I hate that they banners are different widths and staggered when I view it on my phone. Fixed it. I still have a couple to fix.

Fixed the settings so certain engine selections give you the V8 banner.

Changed 'RBVs on Boost' to 'Boosted (not stock)'. That user group was guys adding turbos and supercharger. Not 2019+ Rangers with stock turbos.

Banners are achievements. Not for stock setups. Don't list a vehicle that came with a V8 and then get the V8 banner.

Also, if you drive your V8 like a V6, we reserve the right to remove your banner.

I also set it so that the forum will recognize that you've been a member for 5, 10, 15 and 20 years under your username if you don't have a custom title.

I hear you, but I never changed it. It was set to 5.0L back when I did the swap and hasn't been changed since.

Don't matter, just a badge and it is fixed now.

Ok...

What if they drive their V8 like they drove their V6, but...

When their truck was a V6, they drove it like it was a V8?

Dang, that makes me wish I still had my original start date, not the post "reset" date.

(Edit: Or maybe the old date is in there. I see now that it shows 20+ year member. The reset was in 2007 right?)

Did notice the notifications for the recognition this morning, hadn't looked to see where it was displayed yet.

Some are both. Clan Lamont, of which my family comes from, started in the Ulster region of Ireland and moved to Scotland. I also have family from Ireland.

While the kilt was not traditional garb for Ireland, they adopted it and have some different national, county, and regional tartans as well as solid colors. Blue and green are traditional Roman Catholic colors and orange/saffron is Protestant.

Though, in this day and age, adherence to just the family/clan tartan is no longer a thing, except to some gate keepers. Wear what you want as long as you aren't disrespecting it or making a mockery of it. And if you still feel uncomfortable with wearing a clan tartan that is not your own, there are a good many that are not clan associated and are called universal tartans. Most Scots don't care what tartan you wear. They aren't even wearing only their family/clan tartan anymore.

I'm a descendant of Niall Noígíallach who was a legendary Irish king and the progenitor of the Uí Néill dynasties. His reign is believed to have been in the late 4th and early 5th centuries.

I'm not wearing a kilt.

My uncle has all the info on where my family is from in Ireland.

On my dad's side, erik the red is in the line. Erikson is my dad's cousin's last name. Buseman and Moen are the Norwegian names of my paternal grandparents.

My mom had told me a ling timebago were related to lief erikson and erik the red. And then when i did that ancestry thing, it said the same thing. I was impressed that the family line was known just by word or mouth.
