TRS Member book like GWRRA Gold Book idea

If we do this i will pm Jim and i will create an official entry thread and have it Stikied in the General Discussion area , then leave it open till the end of July , and hopefully have the list finished by Fall of 2010 as a 2011 Listing , and then do an update every year with new members info.

basically it would be for use when you are travelling , like when my buddy blew a U-Joint going down the highway , Say for example i was in NH near Hopman's place , and my truck broke down and he offered tools or a garage to work in and a trailer , i could call for assistance

Sadly, I don't have a trailer, but I do have tools ans know where the best auto parts stores on the area are. :icon_thumby: Yes, if you needed me, I'd be glad to help.

This is a good idea. At the very least, you'd make a few new friends along the way.

i would love to be part of this, not that many folks pass thru central va, but i am here if ya need me!

I'm in for this. In a few years I'm hoping to have a fully equipped shop with tools, heat, lift, etc. I'd def be willing to help out another member in need.

i have tow rope, a cumalong, and a shovel...so i can pull people out

i want to see how much interest we get , at least in this thread , before i go setting this in motion

You know I was just reading Wing World and thinking the same thing. I think this could be aan awesome idea.

I may not have the tools or a trailer, but I'm in. I'm willing to be a guide for anybody wanting to travel to New England. Heck, if you're scared to drive in Boston, I'll gladly do it for you. It'll be a thrill ride you won't forget! :D

Count me in too. I could at least help bring gas if you run out or something stupid.

On my way in to get my tool box this morning , my mom was riding with me and we were talking about how i had just helped my buddy out over the weekend with his ranger when it broke down. She said " well it would be neat if TRS had a book like the GWRRA [ Gold Wing Road Riders Association ] has. " The book she was speaking of is a directory of all the members of the GWRRA worldwide , what town they are located in , a contact number , and what services they are willing to provide. And i agreed that it would be a neat idea , maybe put one out mid way through 2010 , if we can find an organized way to have members submit their infor , and if the staff approves. That way if any of us ever break down , we have a list of people we can call for help.

I want to know what everyone else thinks of the idea.

I just gotta say HOLY COW I didn't know there were so many Ranger and Gold Wing owners out there!! My first bike I rode was my dad's GL1200 '85 LTD. Was the nicest 1200 at Wing Ding in Billings a few years back. Gosh I miss riding.
