On my way in to get my tool box this morning , my mom was riding with me and we were talking about how i had just helped my buddy out over the weekend with his ranger when it broke down. She said " well it would be neat if TRS had a book like the GWRRA [ Gold Wing Road Riders Association ] has. " The book she was speaking of is a directory of all the members of the GWRRA worldwide , what town they are located in , a contact number , and what services they are willing to provide. And i agreed that it would be a neat idea , maybe put one out mid way through 2010 , if we can find an organized way to have members submit their infor , and if the staff approves. That way if any of us ever break down , we have a list of people we can call for help.

I want to know what everyone else thinks of the idea.

Sounds good to me. Get it going and i'll give the director of this my info...

GOOD idea and we have to rules for this use because i don't want some a-hole calling me at 3o clock in the moring for a tow becuase he was being stupid and rode alone or something..

i may take charge of this , and i will set it up as a word document that you can save and print off , that way there is no cost involved.

and the rules would be that you are only to call within a reasonable timeframe of say 7am - 10pm , as that is when most people are traveling and what not.

what does everything think of these 2 ideas ?

What about just having a separate category for people who want/are willing to be called at any hour?

Not sure how many people would actually sign on for something like that, but...

i am open to whatever ideas anyone has , the book would be set up with the members listed by state , and then i would use the same letter key as the gold book , and I would base whether or not it actually gets done based on the number of people that are willing to post their information to be put in the book

Good idea.

Here's a few idea for rules:
1. There will be a $500 charge for stupidity.
2. Out of courtsey other other RBV members, please do not call after 9 PM or on Christmas & Thanksgiving.
3. All members will sign a "Code of Conduct & Ethics." Breaking the code will result in a lifetime ban from all other RBV activites.

Any other ones to a

basically it would be for use when you are travelling , like when my buddy blew a U-Joint going down the highway , Say for example i was in NH near Hopman's place , and my truck broke down and he offered tools or a garage to work in and a trailer , i could call for assistance

I noticed above that you had suggested organizing by states, mabey a section for us guys up north, BC, ATL, Sask, ect. Thanks
Cody

well yea , it wouls start with a listing , in alpabetical order of the States , then it would list the canadian provinces , then anyone form any other place that feels like being listed
