TRS Banner Across North America 2012 - Alaska to Key West Florida (OFFICIAL)

Jim O....thanks for not giving up...I'm ready for it to get near Loo-z-anna........A new BANNER plan could happen at any minute......and that back-tracking idea sounds real good if members will get a new route set up ahead of time!

Well, it's been sitting in the same spot in Reno Nevada since mid May. Almost 3-months. It went from moving slowly but making progress, to stuck and no progress.

Maybe someone who had it BEFORE Reno may know of a better route, and we can pay to have it mailed to that person so they can try and pass it off in another direction. This one has been a dead end. Need to find a new route.

Those who have signed it:

Do you know of an alternative route you could have sent it to keep it moving? Maybe we can get it mailed back to you and you can redirect it. It can't make forward progress by mail, but it can backtrack by mail to be rerouted on a better course.

SEND THE THING BACK TO ALASKA, We will move the hell out of it to our Canadian members AGAIN except this time they can by pass the hell out of the west coast. JIM I vote NO!!!!!! for mailin. If you allow that then all our effort from Alaska all the way down through Canada is moot:annoyed:. One of you get in a rig and go get it NOW! Buck up and quit being fawlkin lazy pussies. MOVE IT, Thats a fawlkin order... MOVE!

Now ive just register for trs but ive been whatching this site for over 6 years, and I agree. The banner must be driven in a ranger, explorer, or b2 type vehicles and not flown or mailed anywhere. We have to stay true in every aspect of this challenge or it means nothing.

Here's a few facts to update you on the problems moving the Banner:

Yep.....but it HAD to be flown in some areas up North per Jim O. because there were no roads for the vehicles to travel on...

and Jim O. is only talking about returning the Banner by mail to the last members wh signed it so it can take a route that will keep it moving.

It's a shame that it has to be done that way for lack of member participation after all the members up north went through, but battles are won by being tactful.

Ok, I do appreciate this information and I understand the Alaska situation but i'm still not satisfied with mailing it, but if it has to be done to move the banner along then so be it. I'm still hoping to see it down around Mo, Ar, Ok, Ks area.

I don't want to see it mailed, but if it was, it would only be mailed BACKWARDS to someone who's already signed it so they can reroute it forward.

Send it back to BC, the Canadians can probably get it across the country to Ontario, where it can head south across the east coast lol

Good attitude!

Good leadership!

Good possibility!

QUESTION: The question is, who has had it on its recent adventure that would like to have it back to re-route it??

I know you have to send it to who will take it and move it, but I think the best bet is send it back to Canada. Those boys seemed eager to get it back towards the beginning of the year. The snows melted to they should be able to move it cross country pretty easily right now, at least a lot easier than they could last time they had it. Then maybe back down through the northeastern states, across to the central states, then wind through the southern states.

I've said it before, and I'm saying it again. I'll personally move it from any one of Georgia's borders to Florida if that's what it takes. I can't guarantee that the entire trip will be done in a Ranger, the 98 is getting a little rough, but it will leave GA in a Ranger. That said at the rate this thing is moving I might even have the older truck running by then. I just need somebody to contact me when the time comes, because at this rate I guarantee that I won't be keeping an eye on the thread.

Since I need an upper alternator bracket for a Ranger 2.0, and someone in contact with the banner will probably be able to find one...put the banner in a box with the bracket and send it to me...:icon_thumby:

That way the banner gets to Canada in a Ranger Care Package...and I will send a money order to the sender for the part and pay for the shipping up here...I can then hand it off or have it signed and meet up with someone from either Eastern Canada or one of the northern states...:yahoo:

I'll try and get it sent back to whoever thinks they can get it successfully rerouted. The question though is if there are enough members in Canada to move it across Canada?

Whoever can develop a plan in Canada with a list of members who are prepared to transport it could submit their route to you Jim O.....

then you could make sure that they get the Banner.....

No plan?.....it may as well stay where it is...since I might be driving my Ranger to California next Spring!

way to go jester.....

ruin it all for the rest of us and now they are trying to deport it to Canada. Dante, i'll car-pool with you to drive to jester's house with a blow-torch, and a pair of pliers, and get this thing.

we can't let it go to Canada, it's only in reno
