TRS Banner Across North America 2012 - Alaska to Key West Florida (OFFICIAL)

So what is the current status of, and plan for, the banner? I know there was talk of moving it to Utah but I'm not sure if it has moved on that far or what's going on. If It's still in lower Idaho I wouldn't mind making a day trip up there to keep it moving along!!

rangerdanger208 has the banner right now in Idaho Falls. If you want to PM him and arrange a meeting in the near future, that would be great.

Okay, I'll shoot him a PM. If I end up with it next has anybody heard anything from other Utah members or should I start PMing the Utahns on the list as well once I establish a plan?

DOPIESLC was asking after it a few days ago, but he may be out of town for a couple of weeks.

Yeah a global banner would be very time consuming and expensive to move around once it left the US. Once it left the US it would have to travel by mail somehow.

Someone with some internet knowledge should start an electronic banner, pass it through PM somehow or email to each member to sign it electronically, and attach a picture of the RBV and send it on. I think that would be pretty interesting as well.

Yep....instead of a green marker on the google map.....we could sign have a thumbnail of our vehicle!

:yahoo:

I tried adding a picture but never got it to work so I said the hell with it and left it as is LOL.

Problem is we would get some smart ass complaining about having sharpie on his computer screen from trying to "Sign" the banner LOL.

Then someone else would complain about the white out to cover up the Sharpie. Oh, never mind I give up LOL.

sO.....how DOES one remove Sharpie ink without damaging laptop screen?

Depends on if it's an older glass screen or the plastic .. With glass use alcohol whips with the plastic use electo wipes found at best buy .. DO NOT use any type of towel or pad. It will scratch the screen. Try to let set and dab off

I can help with the internet banner but wouldn't it be easier to have ppl upload a pic to it instead of pm. Plus my vision of it is like a google map.. With he ranger station flag overlay and pins to where members reside . Then we can really see the amount of ppl in the US. And see who is close by.

That's why I said someone with better internet knowledge LOL. Don't know how a person would setup something like that but it would be pretty cool I think.

As far as getting sharpie off the screen it depends, if you have an old style CRT monitor its easy, just a bit of carb/choke cleaner and it will come right off. On the newer LED/LCD screens its close to impossible without permanently damaging the screen which at this point already has sharpie on it LOL, so you would have to scrub on it with a non-abrasive cleaner and towel.

Utah member here, willing to help and get my name on the banner.

Tarryn, thats the spirit!
Its with Rangerdanger208 in Idaho, right? Should be gaining momentum fast!

Yes, I've contacted Rangerdanger208 about it and I'll probably be heading up to Idaho and bringing it back to Utah here in a bit. Where in Utah are you located Tarryn?

For the internet idea someone or several can set up a geotag website . Basically it's where pics are piloted on a map if the US. Before anyone asks it doesn't require GPS. And on the map it's just slit of pins until you pick one and view the pics.

Is is going to go through Texas eventually?
