TRS-3 20th Anniversary Ford Ranger

I'm looking at Bronco II that's $1,500 and one that's $2,500. The $1,500 is more in budget. Now I'm just trying to see what used parts I can find to build it to get an idea of total cost to make sure I can get it done.

Need:

4-inch lift
Extended radius arms
15x10 wheels
Economical 33x12.50 mud terrains
Cut out fender flares

Need to build bumpers and get a winch.

Still looking for used suspension components. If I have to buy new, I may look at the James Duff 3-inch Stage 2 kit. Used would definitely fit the budget better though.

So did you find an RBV Jim?

No, still looking. I have my eye on two Bronco II's. Trying to see what I can find for used parts vs new to get an idea of how much money I'll need to spend before I buy something.

Definitely go with the B2. In the past year I've bought 2 nice clean specimens and have a total of $1200.00 invested. The first one I bought specifically for a 5.0 conversion, runs decent but trany has no 5th gear or reverse. The 2nd one is absolutely beautiful but had it towed home, has a bad fuel pump and who knows what else. But fro original owner so who knows. It sat in the garage for 2 1/2 years with a full tank of gas.
I'm always on the lookout for a B2 they are getting really hard to find.

My 88 B2 has been sitting in the driveway the past 3 months waiting on its turn in the shop for an engine replacement...really anxious to get it fixed. Wish I had the money to have it dyno tested as it sits currently VS after the engine is replaced...I bet right now its lucky to have 100HP since 1 cylinder at least has lost quite a bit of compression, and I'm sure the other cylinders are following along. It'll be getting a long block so I am keeping my fingers crossed I can get it done soon and bugs worked out of it quickly.
