hi i have a 93 ranger with a 2.3 liter engine. i bought the truck in early august. and it used to start up great. the last two days it has been colder low of 40 if even that cold and my truck has to crank for 2-3 times as long before it starts. once it starts it runs great and starts for the rest of the day. Any ideas? what should i check ? any one have this problem?
thanks

Simple.

Turn the key to run, listen for the fuel pump to run for 2 sec.,
turn key to Off, repeat and then crank it over.

That is a good method for ANY fuel injected vehicle. The fuel system can lose its pressure (bleeds down) for a number of reasons. Bad checkvalve in the fuel pump, seeping fuel fitting (smell it?), fuel filter and stuck cracked open fuel injector.

If priming it with the key on/off/on/crank works, I'd simply continue to do that.
