hey guys i need some help. when i go to crank up my truck it takes a lil while to start up. ive changed the starter its brand new. brand new spark plugs and plug wires. i have even played with the timing but nothing seems to change! help please! thanks all

its got 2 new fuel pumps an yea i think ive checked that ill make sure to do it agean an let ya know what happens.

My 86 2.9L 2wd does the same thing. I'd like to know my problem also. New plugs, wires, distributor, rotor, fuel pumps.

Sounds like my issue, I believe it to be a sticky inj or a clogged fuel rail

1986 Rangers don't have functioning check engine lights, check the computer for codes if the fuel pressure is good to see if it's seen any problems.

Check your starter?
