I swear I heard Lightning...

Why don't you build us a... Ranger Tornado!

Seeing where you live, you probably do hear Lightning a lot. I do here in Oklahoma. Fortunately, in 18 years living here, not experienced the particular pleasure a tornado induces. Hope I never do.

What's a Ranger Tornado. Ranger with a functioning 2.9? ;-)

I was stuck in a Saturn Vue at a traffic light in Utica Michigan when one blew through. The car felt as if it was going to take flight for about 30 seconds... it left 3 or 4 inches of hail in it's path. The true power of mother nature...

My Ranger has some nice hail dents on it. I replaced the hood in 2015, since it looked like a golf ball. The rest are still there. Next time it gets hit, I'm going to get my insurance to do the paintless dent repair at the body shop a half mile from me.

No, it's not stock. I put a Magnum Powers blower on it over the last summer. It has a two pound over cog set driving the blower. Entire intake from the filter to the throttle body is different. LFP cai, C & L elbow replacing the rubber crinkle tube elbow, Accufab throttle body and JLP sheet metal plenum (the intake manifold on top of the blower). Also the rear two cats are deleted, and it has a Borla catback. EGR deleted. Stock width rims in the back with Nitto NT555R 305/45-18 drag radials. Rims up front are stock cut down from 9.5 to 6.5 inches, with 215/660-18 tires on them. JLP long bars (traction bars), BroncoBeater pan hard bar, custom made tubular transmission cross-member (the stock flat metal ones crack), and BroncoBeater drive shaft safety loop. LED tail lights and front corner marker lights. Last pic was before the hood, but shows the difference in size between the front and rear wheels.

A friend of mine just finished stuffing a navigator 4V in his normal F-150. I think he has plans on boosting it too. I guess it is a pretty easy swap.

A few Lightning owners have done the same. Lot of work, not something I'd want to tackle.

He got the truck stupid cheap with a spun rod bearing. $200 jy engine and what sounds like minimal wiring and it was running.

GMC owns the Tornado name, so we won't ever get Ranger Tornado. If you want you can go to Mexico you can pick one up off dealer lot.

Looks like a Holdens inspired truck. I don't remember it being on my work list when I was at GM. At least using that name.

Wow, that's quite a bit. Mind, I was referring to the body (other than the hood, which I already know you swapped).

Damnit.

Why do I like that.

Oh wait. Because it's. Small pickup, and those are extinct here. ;brownbag;

I think I'm going to start tweeting at Ford to build me the smallest truck on the market. Like. Courier small. First Gen short bed short cab small. First Gen s10 small.

People that like small pickups like them because they're small and capable, not because they're a bloated class topper.

Efficiency. Simplicity. Longevity. Easy concepts that never work by committee

I'm surprised by this. You *do* realize it doesn't come with a 2.9, right?

I gotta get me one of their UTVs:

And a better paying job:

Driving through a swamp, sitting on 400 volts sounds like a lot of fun.
