Tricky gas station

Well, I wasn't the one spending it on food, my mother was buying it. I just got to use her gas card today as a "going to college" present.

They have alot of CHEAP food there. You just have to know how to shop.

u iz zmart kid:D

Once I almost put E85 into my Truck!

I wished all gas stations have a standard color coding, like Shell did with the Vpower campaign(the V-power nozzle area was red and yellow, the rest were just plain plastic black) and such as kerosene (blue)

"fuel" stations are just going to get more complicated, instead of gasoline with the three octanes(87,89 and 93) you got propane, natural gas, Normal diesel, the new low sulfur diesel, E85 and "racing gas"(aviation fuel for the Terrafugia) and problably electrical outlets.

...not to mention the "snack" fuels on the inside of the store.

Yeah? A place I went to once on the way to a doctors appointment (Not my regular doctor, a specialist) had a fuel system with the buttons, but they had 87, 89, 93, and diesel all on the same pump, you just press a button to switch. What I'm wondering, is doesn't that kind of.. mix your gas with your diesel? It has to collect in that hose somewhere or something, so your always pumping a tiny bit of whatever the guy before you had. Just like those ice cream places that mix their own, be careful for peanuts.

I thought that all you could buy in the states now for diesel was the ultra low sulfur and that was it short of off-road diesel.

yeah thats a good point. maybe they have a thing that drains it back into the tank when it stops pumping:icon_confused:

BTW there is a Citgo that is near me that still uses the good old pumps.....the ones with MECHANICAL readouts, and if you shut the pump off, you can get the remaining gas in the hose out. :icon_thumby:
