Hey guys,

I have been contemplating the purchase of a deeper transmission pan for my 5r55e equipped Ranger. As I have the 4.0L engine, there is a catalytic converter that runs under the transmission pan which makes for some clearance issues for most aftermarket deep transmission pans. Anyways, one of the pans I was looking at was the PML pan, but then realized that it was too deep and would not clear the catalytic converter. Has anyone installed the Trick Flow pan? it holds one less quart than the PML pan, so I think it might be alright, but the dimensions are not listed on Trick Flow's website. Any help with dimensions or experience installing the pan would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

okay scratch the deep pan idea, I just realized that my Ranger is equipped with a transmission cooler, but the whole reason that I want the new pan is because mine is rusted out from sitting for so long. Now my question is, is the stock 5R55E pan the same for 2WD and 4WD models?
