I missed the replaced part. Some do just remove them and call it good.

They might be right. With how over engineered somethings are in the name of keeping the stupid alive, it is very possible they aren’t needed.

IMO they are key in keeping the front tire from over-entering the passenger compartment.

That may very well be. I have no plans on removing mine and if I do decide to get a tire big enough that the factory ones don’t work, the aftermarket, modified ones would go in.

If you watch videos of the frontal offset crash tests, you will see why those parts are needed to keep the tire out of the passenger area.

^^ big time, yes. I'd probably be comfortable ditching the FRONT bar... but I dont think I'd want to do without the one behind the tire. With my offset and tire size I only rub the front anyways, conveniently.


That all said.... ford actually deletes the crash bars on some factory vehicles so I don't remember which. Bronco raptor mabey? Ranger Raptor? Raptor raptor? Idk.

Sasquatch Bronco also didn't get to go to the nhsta crash test party.
