Ford Tremor/Pioneer CD player head unit installation/upgrade ?

I purchased a 2004 Ford / Pioneer Tremor 6 disc CD player head unit and wanted to install it in my 2006 Ranger. My 2006 just has a single player CD with only one power harness input. When I hooked up the Tremor to my 2006 harness everything powered up and worked except for there was no sound unless you turned it up to maximum. You could barely hear the music. I am sure that it is because I do not have a amplifier. I just wanted to add this in dash head unit along with a aftermarket amplifier and only power up my four door speakers without a subwoofer system. Can anyone tell me if I am heading for disaster with trying to make this installation work? I prefer to keep it stock instead of going aftermarket. Some installers have said that this head unit is only designed to work with the Ford Tremor amplifier and subwoofer that it came with. Does anyone know if this is something quite easy or should I abandon this effort and sell this Tremor unit to someone who has this system? I'm looking for someone to evaluate the two wiring diagrams and come up with a solution to get this head unit to be compatable with my 2006 using aftermarket products. I have already upgraded the stock speakers to Pioneer four ways. Any help would be much appreciated. Here are the two wiring diagrams for the 2004 & 2006 systems.

i personally would just get a single din pioneer unit and call it a day. but thats just m.o

first we have the same truck, woot

secondly if you can install a sub amp you can do a 4 ch speaker amp i just run the speaker wires back up to the rear of the hu and attach them into the oem harness

I just bought a 2006 Ranger Tremor. I have a Pioneer AVH-P4000 Head unit. I just spent the last 3 hours fitting it into the truck, wired it all into the harness......and no sound. I can hear the beeps from the headunit, but nothing from the speakers. There was one smaller square connector I thought would just power the sub. Can anybody steer me in the right direction to get sound to the speakers?

FYI i have moved this head unit from my old frontier, to a mazda3, so i have done this a few times before.

your speakers should connect thur the 4 pairs of wires

They are connected through the wiring harness. Going out tonight and getting a 4 channel amp and just do it right the first time.
