I did a V8 swap in my ranger last year with a 302 and a M5R2 out of a 01 F150 V-6. The trans went south just as I got home last night, and this morning its DOA. I think it's going to be cheaper just to get a good used low mileage tranny than trying to rebuild this one. I was looking for a 97-98 trans so I can have a speedo again but was wondering if an earlier one would work. I know they came in earlier p/u and broncos, does anyone know what years I can use. I really need some options fast since I'm going to have to rent a car until my trans is fix one way or the other. Any help would be appreciated
