hi,
I would like to know if there is a difference in lengths of an FM146 and an automatic transmission from an 1988 Bronco II
Thank you

true for 4x4 applications, but not 2wd. 2wd a4ld is 3 inches longer than 2wd m50d, but i assume youre reffering to 4x4 since no one wants a 2wheeler anymore except me.

pretty sure there never was a 2wd fm146.... leads me to believe he's talking about 4x4 transmissions

No, there isn't.

A4LD, FM146 and M5OD-R1 are all the same length.

i just realized this, the transmission im using is an FM145, which falls under Code D, which is the same as A4ld right? according to the tech library the fm145 and a4ld are the same

No, the FM145 is shorter, it's the same length as the TK-5

Both are 2" shorter than the A4LD
