98 XLT Ranger 4x4 4.0L
I have just replaced the clutch disc, pressure plate, slave cylinder, clutch master cylinder and pilot bearing on my 4x4 pickup.
did not take apart originally so i cant confirm presence of flywheel spacer. could the lack of spacer cause no shift ?
Not sure how this works in, but when i unbolt transfer case from transmission the truck will shift when running. Bolt transfer case back up and no chance of shifting to any gear.
clutch peddle feels good appears to have about 3/4" to 7/8" travel on throw-out bearing.
engine off I can take shifter and shift all gears. Start the truck up and depress clutch and cant even force into any gear.
Now that problem goes away, weellll I'm able to roughly shift all gears with engine running if I unbolt transfer case .
Any ideas I'm open to them..
