I just picked up a 98 4x4 XLT with a 4.0 ohv and an automatic tranny. It shifts into all the gears loosely except first. It won't lock into first but it takes off in first just fine when I'm in drive. Not sure if there might be a selector issue, cable issue or tranny issue. Any help or even a starting place would be helpful. Thank you!
