I have a 1985 Ranger 4X4 , 2.8 V6 & A4LD automatic trans. & manual shift transfer case . I want to swap to a manual transmission . I found a 1988 Bronco 2 4X4 with a 2.9 V6 , 5 speed manual trans. & manual shift transfer case . Will the transfer case off the A4LD bolt right on to the 5 speed manual trans. ? The Bronco 2 transfer case has a round flange that the driveshaft bolts to & the Ranger transfer case doesn't have that flange .

Those transfer cases should be identical. Someone probably just stole the companion flange. Either way, all Ranger t-cases bolt to all Ranger transmissions.
