I swapped a 1995 M5R1 into my 96 Mazda b4000 which originally had the 4r55e. I need to make a jumper to bypass the neutral safety switch. I was told this was between the pink wire and the tan wire w/ the red stripe.
I am very mechanically inclined, but when I have to visualize wiring its like I was hit in the head with the stupid stick. Where do I find these?

They are on the harness down by the trans. The connector that used to plug into the neutral safety switch.

I have a grey plug that is not being used more towards the engine side. The auto harness plugged into this but my manual harness does not. Is this what I should be focusing on?

If you replaced the auto harness with a manual harness, the wiring should already be jumped.

Well that complicates things haha...
I am unsure of what else it could

Okay I'm still gonna give it a shot though. I see a pink wire on the plug that goes into the clutch position switch. I'm guessing that's where I should be looking...

Put the jumper plug back in the socket for the clutch switch, see what happens.

I might have tossed that, knowing me. So I just used a jumper between the pink & red/lt. blue wires and she fired right up. Gonna take a look at the switch and see if there are any bent contacts or something. If not, its a faulty switch? The thing was brand new

New doesn't always mean good.

This could be a problem...

Hey Vex, I found a problem.

Haha you don't say? Guess I gotta plug this thing in more gingerly next time.
