I have a 95 Ford ranger in mint condition the a4ld transmission went out and I installed an '09 5r55e and the speed sensors are in different places and have different plugs what do I do to fix this problem can I just splice a plug to the other speed sensor or is there more to it than that I'm not getting overdrive or speedometer

There is so much more to it than that...

The 5r55e has several more computer controlled parts than any A4LD ever did.

I may be wrong about the A4 LD or vice versa the only difference was the position of the speedometer sensor it was on the tail shaft and the only other plug-in place was before the bolts were the tail shaft is bolted they are only two pins on each one I would splice them to the other but I don't want to take a chance and having my positive and negative reverse and burning something up or out

My engine is a 4.0 it has very low mileage maybe there is a thread that has been posted that has already answered my question that I can check

I'm confused now. Got pictures?

Edit: I just looked up the A4LD. It was apparently last used in 94. So your 95 would have been a 4r55e which is the same a 5r55e except for computer programming. So should definitely be compatible.
