okay hey whats up fellas... i own a 92 ford ranger 4.0 v6 i have just gotten the 4x4 and transmission rebuilt in the truck less than a week ago , as i put the tranny in and finished i drove arround block and it was perfect i came back to the truck next day went to drive it i could only put it into gear when im fully stopped. the master cylinder has been bled the slave has no hole in it or would be squirting fluid . when i am driving i cannot switch out of gears. it is acting liek the clutch pedal is full doenst g soft , it feels liek it usually does it just will not let me shift until i completley stop .. i mean i can start out in second go to neutral and slide it to 4th gear but wont go into any others unless the truck is fully stoped not moving ,, can someone explain to me what the heck is the matter?

slaves are very known for failing, you may not notice it leaking unless you can take the access plug off the bellhousing and feel the fluid. try bleeding it again, but its probably the slave. that or something inside is f*&^ed up. did you put fluid in the tranny?

I would agree. I have had a slave cylinder working perfectly until I removed the tranny and had to drain the fluid out of my slave system. I bled and bled and bled. Until I finally replaced the slave and it bled first time.

You either have a slave issue, or you put the wrong fluid in the trans.

well . my uncle had told me that since my trans had just been rebuilt it has a tranny brke on the inside , of tranny i believe and it may be a little too tight . i dont know what that is or have ever been arround it but he said that , the gears will go in it is just very hard its liekt he tranny locks it self and wont give slack . .. or when u put into neutral it is hard to roll . while the clutch is in ... im very very confused , and i used dex/merc tranny fluid. pretty sure thats right ,, well i think it could be slave but at the same time , im not losing fluid . so i really am mind bobbled .
