Transmission questions

Hello, im new here but not new to rangers, please help me out i have an 06 ranger 2 wd automatic transmission with a 2.3, will that transmission fit in an 11’ with a 2.3. 2 wd. seems like a dumb question but id rather be safe then sorry thanks in advance

Car-part.com list parts for 2011 only as far back as 2007. When checking for a 2006, it only show 2006 and older. Guessing that was a change year. But what IDK. They are both 5r55E. Maybe someone can fill in the details.

2001-2011 Ranger/B2300 2.3l 5R44E transmissions are interchangeable, all were 2WD

So yes, you can use a 2006 2.3l Ranger trans in a 2011 2.3l Ranger, or visa versa
