hey i want to take a second to thank everyone who has helped me so far on this forum you guys are great now to the question i just replaced my rear and i didnt get the rite drums for it so waiting on those till the weekend but now my question is could the transmission have been my problem. my truck has a lot of vibration and shaking in the shifter and the clutch pedal and gets worse the faster you go you dont feel it in the first three gears really but come 45 to 50 its pretty bad i stopped driving the truck due to this, and i was told it was due to my rear end being blown they said there was to much movement in the pin. after replacing it with the other one i took off the cover and had someone else look at it who said it wasnt that bad and he said my problem could be in m transmission. also got another opinion who said it was transmission or my drive shaft could be unbalanced. i just dont want to buy new drums and stuff if thats not my problem. if not ill wait to the weekend and find out thanks again

If you feel vibration in the shifter it's likely a bad u-joint. Possibly an out of balance driveshaft. I had a similar problem awhile back. Vibration occured between 45-55mph. Had the driveshaft balanced, and it still vibrated. I had replaced the center support bearing (2 piece driveshaft unit). After frustration, I narrowed it down, I had replaced the u-joints and to my suprise I had a bad new u-joint. No it wasn't messed up during installation. It turns out as when I pulled the ujoint apart to check the roller pins inside the cap. One of the roller pins was larger than the others. Replaced the ujoint, and the vibration was gone.
