I have an 88 4x4 Ranger that has 2.9 with an auto transmission. Its at a shop right now getting work done it and they got everything done but they lost one of the bracket that bolts to the transmission. My transmission is not a cable linkage its actually linkage set-up with rods to work everything. I have try almost every part store around me, ford dealers, and junkyards I can't find the linkage setup that is on my truck to replace the missing peice. Can anyone think of where I might be able to find the parts for my linkage setup or maybe tell me if I can change it over to a cable linkage setup. Please help I miss driving my Ranger.

Its not our responsibility to find hte part. The shop lost it and your paying them to get it working. They have the parts connections, tell them to find the part and fix the tranny like they were paid to do, otherwise go to a junkyard and tear apart another tranny. Send R1Hatman a private message and get the number for his transmission shop Whatever It Takes Transmission, if they cant find or ship you the part, they can probably help find someone who can. But like I said if the shop is reputable, then they know its their responsibility.
