I have an 87 with the 2.9 and FM145. Last weekend the old 145 finally gave out. It was almost like the transmission "locked up" it wouldn't move in any gear or anything. So I replaced it with another 145. Put it in fine drove it to work and back then on my way to my friends house, I had it in 4th and went to slow down for a turn so I put it in neutral and slowed down but when I went to pull second it wouldn't go. It will not go in any gear. It goes into what "feels" like 5th and reverse but it won't move just like the old tranny. and if you put it in "neutral" it dies. HELP!
