Transmission Help

I have a 1985 Bronco II that I put a rebuilt 2.8 in last year. I do not have very many miles on the motor and love to drive this truck. So my 5speed transmission went out and I am trying to replace it. I believe I have the FM145 but not positive as I will have the tranny on the ground in a day or two. My question is what trans can I put back. The Nevada scene for Bronco II's is not good. There are not very many of them for sale or even at the pick-a-part yards. I found a couple on Craigslist and I am going to look at them this weekend. Any way if some one could maybe give me a working list of what other vehicles to look for it would be greatly appreciated.

You are more likely to have a TK5.

With the proper modifications you can fit any of the FM transmissions or an M5OD, which can be had from later year Rangers or Explorers. The swap has been done many times and we have documentation and instructions for how to do it.
