How should the engine behave during this transition? Mine seems to get confused when the throttle is cracked- parking lot driving, going down hill, slowing down with barely any throttle, stuff like that.

If I’m cruising and hit the clutch to stop, it seems fine if this is fine —> stays at high idle for a bit, then drops to normal idle. if I interrupt that program, it gets annoyed. I’ll be going slow just fine as described above (perhaps in “high idle” mode?), and BAM, it switches to low idle (?), the drivetrain flops to engine braking, everyone looks at me funny, I give a little more gas and keep going.

I’ve had a persistent, intermittent running rich at part throttle code that still comes on when warmed up and going downhill at the verge of engine braking. Not sure if that’s a clue, but I’m happy to ignore it at this point.

replaced stuff: IAC, MAF, IAT, O2, plugs, wires, coils, injectors, fuel reg, EGR sens valve solenoid, pcv, time belt. Every time I replaced a sensor, performance improved so please let me know if I missed anything cause it’s probably bad too.
