Transfercases and doubler ?s

I have a 83 model standerd truck and I am wanting to put me a doubler in. I just bought a 86 automatic 4x4 ranger can i use the tranfer case off of it are they any diffrences it being a automatic? if I can use it what do I need to do it with were can i order the stuff or I thought about making my own plate but Id bought rather buy it.

Transfer cases are the same and you can either build the plate or buy it. I would buy it as you get allot better shaft going that wrought. RB
