My 2006 ranger has developed a clunk at certain speeds in 2wd. At first I thought the wheel bearings were bad. I've had the rear driveshaft universals both changed, and both cvjs on front done. All ball joints are tight, and tie rods. Sway bar has not play in the links.

It has 134K on it. And I crawled under it tonight to see if I could pin point my noise.

Well I grabbed the front driveshaft. And I was able to feel a good amount of play it seemed. My question is how much play is too much? I've been looking around trying to find a "feel" spec on it, but haven't. And is a certain amount of clunk acceptable? And its just something I should get used to? I plan to check the fluid in it early this week to make sure the case has fluid.

I really appreciate the advice.
