First off, I have the following on my truck:
Front: James Duff ext radius arm with skyjacker 6" drop brackets and sky jacker 6" coils dana hybrid swapped to dana 35 carrier
Rear: Skyjacker soft ride springs with shims, 1 1/2" extended shackles from rusty's offroad, 2" block delete. Rear driveshaft is two peice design because i have regular cab 4cyl 7.5 swapped to 8.8
There is slack in my drivetrain in the rear. This causes bucking on accel and deccel. This has been going on for a long time, but now there is a squealling from the transfer case that started a week ago and there is a lot of drivetrain vibration that has been increasing. I believe that this maybe caused by the cardan joint going out, but i have no play in the driveshaft. The transfer case is now leaking oil from the rear seal which leads me to believe that the squealling is from the rear transfer case bearing. Another part of me thinks that the mounts are worn out because I can push the drive train up by pushing underneath it. Also there is a poping noise at extreme angles of the rear axle. My inclination would be that because of the amount of travel I have and the flex combined with weak transmission and motor mounts the play in the rear has worn the bearing in the tcase and the bearing is worn.
Thoughts?
