transfer case took a dump so i got in another bw 1345, now having problems

i have a 1995 ranger 4x4 ext cab and i put in a older model bw1345, the 1995 one i had didnt have a speedo hole in it but the one i got thats older does.. so i switched the 95 case motor to the older t case and now im having problems with my speedo bein all twacked out and my O/D dosent work anymore..

does somehting sound wrong here??

Thats a BW 1354 your talking about.

Yes something does sound wrong.

So are you using the old Tcase with the new shift motor?

The wording is a little confusing.

yes i did put the new shift motor on the older t case, cause the plug was different on the older shift motor.

I think that the cause of your speedo issues would be your speed sensor, or at least thats a good place to start. Chances are that because the speedo isnt reading right, the computer wont let the overdrive engage.

Start by finding and checking your speed sensor.

This is a complete GUESS! I didnt know that some trucks did not have speed sensors in the Tcases. One of the Technical Advisors should verify or correct what I have just told you.
