trans overfill question

hey yall,
if a transmission has been over filled then will the extra fluid just blow out the overfill tube when running or does it screw something up. thanks

its not good for the trans. the fluid foams up and the pump wont be able to push the fluid properly.

drain out the extra quart asap

thanks for the reply man...yeah the reason i ask the question is b/c a while back i added some trans fluid and it was a little too much ( i was on the road and had no way to get it out) anyways now my trans leaks and i was just hoping that the seals didn't get blown. i think/hope that its just my trans cooler line but i haven't had time to replace it.
