trans mount bad ?

Did you check and make sure the bolts on your trans crossmember are tight? I had a pair rattle lose when I was bustin broadies in the mud.

Yup, that sounds like a bad crossmember to me. I'd definitely get a new one.
It needs to be replaced, so take a trip to the junkyard. If that doesn't stop the noise, then I'd start to worry about a bad part somewhere else.

i hope you find one in the junk yard, i had to replace mine, and no yard had one i had to get it from ford, it was over 100.00

Is the rubber piece still in there. That's a LOT of movement.

The rubber will get soft with use, and let it flex. I replaced mine with a new one (got for free) and it did the same thing less then 2-3 months later. I ended up taking a thick (3/8" IIRC) mudflap and cutting 2 strips to wedge into the mount. This still allows a bit of movement, so it's not a solid mount but it took all the extra slop out of it.

thanks everyone for your input but it wasnt the rear end or the trans mount or the motor mount it turned out to be the u joints i guess i should have checked those first lol now it runs amazing, better than new
