So, i finally finished putting my 3" body lift on my '98 ranger, auto.
When i jumped in all sorts of excited to start it the battery came on, but no start. Looking around a little bit and pretty pissed off i found the trans cable was snagged on it's clip right on the side of the transmission and was stuck in 2nd. It appeared that there wasn't enough slack on it and it broke the whole plastic portion of the cable clip in a few places. Of course SummitRacing didn't include any sort of trans bracket extension. The only thing i could find to do at 1am was to duct tape the biotch up and drive home. This morning i put some zip ties around it to make sure it wouldn't go anywhere... temp of course.
My question is, did anyone else run into this problem? or does anyone have any suggestions of what to do or where to buy a new bracket?
